Luis Alcocer, Partner, is a member of Rosen Law's real estate transactions, corporate and finance practice areas.
Luis graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA) School of Law in 1994, where his professional thesis “Resolution of International Commercial Disputes” was awarded with honors.
Luis is a licensed Mexican attorney (admitted, 1996), holding three specialization degrees in (i) Corporate Law, (ii) International Commerce and Finance law, and (iii) Commercial law, all from Universidad Panamericana (UP); and diplomas on “Due Diligence” and “Tax law” from the National Association of Enterprise lawyers (ANADE).
Prior to joining Rosen Law in 2007, Luis was an associate attorney several prestigious international law firms based in Mexico City, including Baker & McKenzie and others.
Luis has 15 years of experience in advising foreign investors in corporate and international business law matters, in areas such as private equity, mergers & acquisitions, real estate transactions, and cross-border finance. Luis has considerable experience in drafting and negotiating all types of commercial and joint-venture agreements, board and partners meetings minutes, partner conflict resolutions; as well as asset-based and project financing, and cross-border loan agreements. Luis has also performed due diligence and drafted and negotiated buy-sell contracts with respect several major resort development transactions in the Los Cabos area.
Luis enjoys reading on diverse subjects, such as science, politics, news, psychology, sports, and playing all types of sports. He is an avid golf player. He is fluent in English and has working knowledge of French. |
